1. AGREEMENT TO THESE TERMS
By using this website, requesting a quote, or booking any service with Celebrate Platter Co. ("Celebrate Platter Co.," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("Client" or "you") agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or book our services.
These terms apply together with any written quote, invoice, or event agreement we send you. If a signed event agreement conflicts with these terms, the event agreement controls for that event.
2. OUR SERVICES
Celebrate Platter Co. serves Shasta County and surrounding areas. Our services include:
- Event catering
- Charcuterie and grazing tables and boards
- Dessert bars and dipped strawberry bars
- Gift and holiday platters
- Personal Chef Experience (cooked on site at your party, event, or family gathering)
- Event hosts

We do not serve, sell, or provide alcohol and do not hold a liquor license. Any alcohol at your event is your responsibility and must be served in compliance with applicable law and your venue's rules.
Menu items, photos, and descriptions on the website are examples. Final items, presentation, and quantities may vary based on seasonal availability and your event details.
3. QUOTES, BOOKING & DEPOSIT
Submitting a quote request through the website does not reserve your date. Quotes are estimates based on the details you provide and are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise.
Your date is reserved only after we confirm your booking in writing and receive a $275 non-refundable deposit. The deposit is applied to your event total. Dates are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.
4. PAYMENT TERMS & LATE FEES
- The remaining balance is due 30 days before your event date.
- A late fee of $10 per day applies to any balance unpaid after that due date.
- If the balance remains unpaid 14 days before your event, your booking will be cancelled and no refund will be issued, including the deposit and any amounts already paid.
- For events booked fewer than 30 days out, the full balance is due at booking.
- Gift and holiday platters ordered without an event booking are paid in full when ordered.
Final guest counts are due with your final payment. Guest count increases after that date are subject to availability and additional charges; decreases do not reduce the amount owed.
5. CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation by you. Please notify us in writing (email or text) to cancel. The $275 deposit is non-refundable in all cases. Payments made beyond the deposit are refundable only if we are able to rebook your date, at our discretion, minus any costs already incurred for your event (such as purchased ingredients, rentals, or staff commitments).
Date changes. We will do our best to move your booking to a new date, subject to availability. One date change requested at least 30 days before the event may be made without a fee; your deposit transfers to the new date.
Menu changes. Menu and service changes must be requested in writing and confirmed by us. Changes may affect pricing.
Cancellation by us. If we must cancel for reasons within our control, we will refund all payments, including the deposit. Our liability is limited to that refund.
6. DELIVERY, SETUP & TRAVEL FEES
- Delivery inside Redding city limits: Free
- Delivery outside Redding city limits: $1 per mile, round trip, from Redding Civic Center (700 Auditorium Dr.)
- Event hosts: $75–$125 per hour, per host
Arrival and setup times are confirmed before your event. You are responsible for making sure we have timely access to the venue, a clear setup area, and any venue approvals needed. Delays caused by venue access, weather, or other factors outside our control may shorten service time without a reduction in price.
7. HORSE TRAILER RENTAL
- Trailer only: $275 per day
- Trailer booked with catering or other services: $200 per day
- Delivery inside Redding: Included
- Delivery outside Redding: $2 per mile, round trip (replaces the $1/mile catering delivery fee)
The trailer is delivered, set up, and removed by our team only; it may not be moved, towed, or relocated by the Client or guests. The Client is responsible for the trailer and its contents during the rental period and for any damage beyond normal wear, including damage caused by guests, vendors, or weather exposure where reasonable protection was not taken. The trailer must be placed on level, accessible ground approved by us.
8. EVENT HOSTS & PERSONAL CHEF EXPERIENCE
Event hosts assist with food service, replenishing, and tidying the food area. Hosts do not serve alcohol, supervise children, or perform venue cleanup beyond our own service area unless agreed in writing. Time beyond the booked hours is billed at the host's hourly rate.
Personal Chef Experience. For on-site cooking, you agree to provide safe access to a working kitchen or cooking area, including functioning appliances, running water, and adequate counter space, as discussed before your event. We are not responsible for delays or menu changes caused by equipment that is unavailable or not working. Our personal chef is an experienced home cook; the service is not represented as culinary-school-trained or restaurant service.
9. DECOR, EQUIPMENT & RENTAL ITEMS
Boards, platters, stands, signage, decor, and other display items provided by us remain our property unless sold to you. Some items left with you require a refundable decor/equipment deposit, noted on your invoice or Final Details form.
- The deposit is refunded when all items are returned clean and undamaged within 48 hours after your event.
- Missing, damaged, or late items may be deducted from the deposit or billed at replacement cost.
- Before each event, you will complete our Final Details form confirming setup, timing, and item details.
10. FOOD SAFETY, ALLERGIES & LEFTOVERS
Allergies and dietary needs. Tell us about any allergies or dietary restrictions when booking. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate them, but our food is prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens, including nuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat/gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish. We cannot guarantee any item is free of allergens or cross-contact. Guests with allergies consume food at their own discretion.
Food safety. Perishable foods such as meats, cheeses, and dairy should not sit at room temperature for more than 2 hours (1 hour above 90°F). Once food is delivered or set out, the Client is responsible for its handling, storage, and the length of time it remains out.
Leftovers. Leftover food left with the Client is the Client's responsibility. We are not liable for illness resulting from improper handling or storage after delivery or service ends.
11. OUTDOOR EVENTS & CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
We do not provide tents, canopies, or shelter for outdoor setups. For outdoor events, the Client must provide adequate shade and protection from sun, wind, rain, heat, and insects. We may adjust, delay, or decline outdoor setup if conditions are unsafe for food or staff; this does not entitle the Client to a refund.
The Client is responsible for:
- Accurate event details, guest counts, and timing
- Venue permission, access, parking, and any required permits
- A safe, level setup area and access to power if needed
- The conduct of guests around our staff, food, trailer, and equipment
12. PHOTOS, WEBSITE USE & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Photos. We may photograph our food displays and setups at your event for our portfolio, website, and social media. We will not post identifiable photos of guests without permission. Let us know in writing if you prefer we take no photos.

Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
Your information. Information you submit through our forms is handled according to our Privacy Policy. By submitting a form, you agree we may contact you by phone, text, or email about your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out of texts.
13. LIABILITY, INDEMNIFICATION & EVENTS BEYOND OUR CONTROL
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for that event or order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Indemnification. You agree to hold harmless Celebrate Platter Co., its owner, and its staff from claims arising from your guests' conduct, alcohol served at your event, venue conditions, or your breach of these terms, except where caused by our negligence.
Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, wildfire or smoke, road closures, power outages, illness, emergencies, or government orders. In those cases we will work with you to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, payments beyond the non-refundable deposit will be refunded minus costs already incurred.
14. GOVERNING LAW, CHANGES & CONTACT
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Shasta County, California.
